Epic RUNN documentary to be available on Netflix Australia and New Zealand

Fred Media is pleased to confirm that its inspirational title RUNN – The Nedd Brockmann Documentary will be available on Netflix Australia and New Zealand.

Produced by WildBear Entertainment and Bursty Company for Fox Sports Australia and first launched to the international market by Fred Media/Radar during MIPCOM 2024, the extraordinary one-hour documentary will be available to screen on Netflix Australia and New Zealand from 10th February.

RUNN – The Nedd Brockmann Documentary tells the incredible story of a quintessential Aussie bloke with a wicked sense of humour who embarks on a daring and unprecedented mission. Motivated by a deep empathy for the homeless crisis gripping his nation and keen to highlight the problem, electrician Nedd sets off on a solo 4000km run across the vast continent. His extraordinary adventure succeeded in capturing the hearts and minds of everyday Australians – as well as celebrities like Lily James, Hamish Blake and Ash Barty – drawn not just to the physical challenge but to Nedd’s infectious spirit and unwavering dedication to his cause. Nedd’s epic run raised millions for the homeless and made him a cult hero.

Jimmy Elkington, head of sales at Fred Media, comments: “RUNN is a truly memorable documentary that deserves to be seen by as many people as possible, so we are thrilled that Netflix Australia and New Zealand will be offering the title to its subscribers.

“The film paints a heartfelt and compelling picture of one man’s quest to make a difference, weaving elements of humour, determination, and profound humanity into its narrative. Set against the backdrop of the vast expanse of the Australian landscape, it succeeds in being an uplifting, entertaining and moving watch, showing how an individual’s unwavering resolve can ignite a movement and bring about transformative change. We look forward to seeing the response on Netflix, confident that RUNN will appeal to a broad audience.”

RUNN’s director, Serge Ou from WildBear Entertainment, recently won a 2024 Australian Directors Guild Award for Best Direction of a Documentary Series Episode or One-Off for his work on the film.
