Radar collects Silver Play Button for Untamed

The digital content division of WTFN, Radar, has collected another Silver Play Button from YouTube, this time for its hit animal and wildlife series Untamed.

This is the seventh award that Radar has achieved with YouTube, including a Gold Play Button for Bondi Vet, since launching the division. Untamed brings global audiences the best of WTFN’s extensive library of animal and wildlife series including Keeping Up With The Joneses and The Wild Life Of Tim Faulkner.

Radar General Manager Louisa Emery said, “Untamed is one of our star owned-and-operated channels. It seems global audiences have an unsatiable appetite for wildlife content and being able to leverage WTFN’s huge library has been huge advantage for the channel.”

“We’ve managed to drive success on Facebook as well, where we have nearly 900,000 followers. It demonstrates that catch-all channels can be equally as popular as single IP channels with the right strategy,” she added.

Radar plans to produce YouTube-first episodes for Untamed in 2025 as demand from content-hungry audiences increases. This would be the first time that new episodes will be produced under the Untamed brand and represent another key evolution of the channel.

“Australian wildlife seems to do particularly well with international audiences. We’ve got incredible access to wildlife stories across the country and we know what our audiences want. Expect to see plenty of snake and spider content in 2025!”, Louisa added.
