Sally Gluyas

Senior Legal Consultant

Sally brings unique skills to WTFN having worked extensively in the media and the law. She began her career as a journalist at Melbourne’s Herald newspaper and was an on-air reporter and Chief-of-Staff for Australia’s Nine Network for 12 years.

Sally was Senior Legal Counsel at WTFN for 8 years, before starting her own boutique media law firm, Sally Gluyas Legal, in 2020.

Prior to her time at WTFN, Sally was a Senior Associate at Allens, one of Australia’s top-tier law firms. In almost a decade with Allens, she specialised in commercial litigation and was involved in major cases in trade practices, contract and taxation law on behalf of some of Australia’s largest listed companies.

As Legal Consultant to the WTFN Group, Sally combines her understanding of the media and the law to provide strategic advice in a diverse range of areas, including, intellectual property and copyright, defamation, pre-screening clearances, litigation and general commercial matters.

With a keen interest in corporate governance, Sally has also served on the Board of and as Deputy Chair of the Board of a leading Australian girls’ school.
